In 2021, the Faculty of Law Thammasat University has faced many challenges. Whether it has been the COVID-19 crisis or the challenge of applying technology to teaching and management of the faculty, the Faculty of Law has taken various actions to embrace the changes and has become equipped with technology for education to be able to provide academic services effectively. The Alumni Relations Team would therefore like to present some of the important work of the Faculty of Law in 2021 to all alumni, as follows:

Academic work

                       In 2021, faculty members of the Faculty of Law have produced academic work, together with textbooks and documents for teaching, numbering 17 volumes and 15 research products. To read more, see:

Prizes won by faculty members and students

                       In 2021, faculty members of the Faculty of Law produced academic work in the field of law which received a total of 11 awards from Thammasat University and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). Furthermore, students of the Faculty of Law received 4 prizes from national and international competitions. To read more, see:

Academic cooperation with various departments

                       The Faculty of Law expanded its academic cooperation in various forms, including signing MOUs and discussing cooperation in joint activities, together with arranging academic conferences with many departments. Overall, academic cooperation was extended to more than 11 departments. To read more, see:

Academic activities

                       In 2021, the Faculty of Law arranged more than 46 online academic seminars and conferences on interesting legal issues, and more than 8 special lectures by both domestic and foreign legal experts. Furthermore, the Faculty of Law opened a channel for students, personnel, and the general public to ask questions or make complaints to the Faculty of Law, via the website http://queries-or-complaints.law.tu.ac.th/complaint/ so that issues may be acknowledged quickly and problems dealt with swiftly. Activities to develop students’ skills

                       The Faculty of Law has organised over 18 activities to develop skills for students, in online rather than on-site format, to promote skills needed in the legal profession, such as a project to prepare and adapt the fundamentals for admission to the Faculty of Law, a training program to replace apprenticeships, competitions arguing legal issues by oral statements at the appeal stage, etc. To read more, see:

Alumni community of the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University

                       In March 2021, the faculty launched an official alumni community website. It is a central place for alumni to return to visit the Faculty of law. When you register to be a member of the alumni community website, you will receive various benefits, and information and news about the faculty and alumni via the monthly Alumni Email and the quarterly E-Newsletter, as well as being able to purchase souvenirs at special prices.
