“Inventors’ Day” is the day on which the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) organises an annual event to present exhibitions of inventions and innovations at both national and international levels, offers practical training and many other activities to reflect the country’s progress in the field of creative innovation, and to bring inventions and innovations to be put to good use in various ways. Additionally, there is presentation of research and the National Research Council’s award ceremony. One of the most prestigious awards is the “National Outstanding Researcher Award”, an honour given to Thai researchers who are dedicated to their research and who have devoted their passion and intelligence to create work that benefits the nation, continually producing research over a long period of time, and who are also recognised as “ethical researchers” and admired in academic circles as suitable role models for other researchers.
The Faculty of Law, Thammasat University has always placed emphasis on research with
the aim of producing quality research products, and faculty members have continually been involved in national research projects. The Alumni Relations Team has compiled a list of faculty members, past and present, who have received recognition as a “National Outstanding Researcher” from the National Research Council
as follows:
Professor Jitti Tingsaphat received the National Outstanding Researcher Award for the year 1990
in the field of Law
Professor Dr. Surapon Nitikraipot received the National Outstanding Researcher Award for the year 2004 in the field of Law.
Professor Dr. Somkit Lertpaithoon received the National Outstanding Researcher Award for the year 2010 in the field of Law.
Professor Dr. Amnat Wongbandit received the National Outstanding Researcher Award for the year 2014 in the field of Law.
Professor Dr. Surasak Likasitwatanakul received the National Outstanding Researcher Award for the year 2019 in the field of Law.
The Faculty of Law and the faculty members aim to keep on performing research and developing academic work, together with disseminating the results of their research to the public both nationally and internationally, to support and build on new academic knowledge which will develop the quality of education and the strength of the research of the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University and make a contribution to
