      Did you know that, since 2018, the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, has raised the standards of education management and academic social services by improving the structure and increasing the academic role of departments and branches, through requiring that departments and branches change their status to “Law Centres” In addition to serving as a unit for the development of a body of legal knowledge, a Legal Centre also oversees the development of quality academic work of students at master’s and doctoral levels, and the promotion of legal knowledge and its application to addressing societal problems, as part of its academic social services.
      The Centre for Public Law, which developed out of the Public Law Department, is responsible for education in the field of public law at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels, together with education at graduate certificate level and short-term public law courses to produce graduates and legal personnel who are knowledgeable about constitutional law, administrative law, fiscal law and public economic law. In addition, it oversees the development and expansion of public law knowledge through the promotion of research and organising academic conferences, together with public seminars on issues aimed at meeting the needs of society, to develop education and be of service to society.
